With the turn of the yearly calendar, we begin to look towards the next school year. The counselors will be in the classrooms in February to meet with students, review graduation requirements, and talk about the scheduling process. Freshmen should be looking to finish graduation requirements that are needed in their sophomore year (Health, Physical Education, and possibly a fine art.) Sophomores should be determining if they are going to attend Maplewood and/or if they plan to take CCP classes. Juniors should be double checking their graduation requirements and schedule challenging classes for their senior year. College admissions looks at strength of schedule and they like to see students maintaining momentum in their academic classes as they finish high school.
January 17, 2019 at 6:00 pm we will be having a CCP (College Credit Plus) meeting with area colleges and the guidance department. Any student who is considering a CCP class must have a mandatory meeting with the guidance staff, this meeting would count as the mandatory meeting. Please contact Miss Damron, email@example.com or the high school office 330.527.4341 for more information.
