PSAT

James A. Garfield High School students continue to shine—this time on a national stage. In the fall of 2025, 28 juniors elected to take the PSAT, and their performance was nothing short of outstanding.

JAG’s average total PSAT score was 1091, well above the Ohio average of 997 and the national average of 954. In Reading and Writing, JAG students scored an average of 555 (compared to Ohio’s 501 and the national 487), and in Math, our students averaged 535, topping Ohio’s 496 and the national 468.

These results speak volumes about the power of a supportive and well-rounded educational community. Behind every test score is a team of dedicated teachers, a network of supportive services, and the unwavering encouragement of JAG families. Together, we are helping our students reach their full potential—both in the classroom and beyond.
