Go G-Men!

Our 8th grade students and staff participated in an incredible Career Day event held at James A. Garfield Middle School just prior to Spring Break on March 22nd. Parents and speakers from various professions generously shared their time and expertise, enlightening students about a diverse array of career paths.

From the medical field to creative industries, students had the opportunity to explore numerous career options. Professionals in physical therapy, nursing, and dentistry showcased the importance of healthcare, while lawyers and police officers shed light on the legal system and law enforcement.

Go G-Men!

"We're grateful to all the parents and speakers who participated," said Mr. Bartz. "Their willingness to share their experiences and knowledge truly made this event a success."

Utility locators, welders, HVAC technicians, and landscapers demonstrated the significance of skilled trades, emphasizing hands-on work and problem-solving skills. Meanwhile, inside and outside sales representatives, supply chain managers, financial planners, and bank managers illustrated the world of business and finance. We even learned what it is like to work in nature through a Naturalist at a local park system.

Go G-Men!

As the day came to a close, students expressed excitement and inspiration about their future career paths. "I never knew there were so many options out there," exclaimed one of our 8th Grade Students. "The speakers got me excited to start pursuing my dreams."

Go G-Men!

Once again, a big thank you to all the parents and speakers who shared their time and talents with us at James A. Garfield Middle School. Your dedication to educating and empowering the next generation is truly commendable. It was a great day to be a G-Man!
