To close out a memorable school year, the 7th grade class at James A. Garfield Middle School took to the streets of Garrettsville for a well-deserved community walking field trip. The day was filled with fun, laughter, and reflection as students celebrated their accomplishments and looked ahead to the future.
The trip began with a visit to the Garrettsville Cinema, where students had the opportunity to watch a selection of featured films with their classmates. After the movie, the group continued on to Library Park for an afternoon of outdoor fun. Students enjoyed classic yard games, a picnic-style lunch, and the chance to unwind together after a year full of hard work and growth. The park buzzed with excitement as students shared stories, played games, and reminisced about their favorite moments from the past year.
This experience not only gave students the chance to connect and enjoy their town, but also highlighted the importance of community, friendship, and celebrating milestones.
As this group of students moves into their 8th grade year, they now step into the role of building leaders—ready to set the tone, model G-Men values, and make their final year at the middle school their best one yet. We’re proud of how far they’ve come and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make next year.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the dedicated 7th grade team for organizing this special event and creating lasting memories for our students.
It's a great time to be a G-Man!
