Go G-Men!

The GMS Drama Club proved they have plenty of reasons TO be in a play this past November, delivering three nights of side-splitting comedy with their production of "30 Reasons To Not Be In A Play" at The Iva Walker Auditorium.

Go G-Men!

The show's clever humor—a play about all the reasons NOT to do a play—was brought to life brilliantly by a talented cast who showcased impressive comedic timing and stage presence. From exaggerated dramatic moments to perfectly delivered punchlines, the performers had audiences laughing throughout each performance. The cast's ability to play off each other's energy created genuine chemistry on stage, making even the most absurd theatrical mishaps feel authentic and hilarious.

Each actor brought their own unique flair to the production, whether playing over-the-top drama students, frustrated directors, or chaotic backstage crew members. Their commitment to the comedy and confident performances showed just how much talent we have right here on our stage at James A. Garfield.

Behind the success of this production was the guidance of director Mrs. Lovelace, whose vision and dedication helped shape the show into a performance we will never forget. Her ability to bring out the best in each student while maintaining the show's fast-paced humor made the show one to remember.

What made this production even more impressive was the student-run technical crew. The light booth operators created the perfect atmosphere for each scene, the sound booth team ensured every joke landed with crystal-clear audio, and the backstage crew kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes. These behind-the-scenes students proved that great theater requires talent both on stage and off.

Over three memorable nights, the Drama Club reminded us all why live theater is so special—and ironically, gave us 30 great reasons why being in a play is absolutely worth it! It was a great weekend to be a G-Man!
