The 2025 Winter Social brought festive fun and excitement to James A. Garfield Middle School on Thursday, December 18th, as more than 140 students came together for an unforgettable evening of entertainment, food, and friends.

From the moment students arrived, the energy was electric. DJ Jason, known locally as Portage County's Best DJ, kept the dance floor packed all night long with music that had everyone moving. Whether students were showing off their best dance moves, their choreographed line dancing skills, or just enjoying the beats with friends, the atmosphere was absolutely buzzing.

But the fun didn't stop at dancing! Students had plenty of options to keep the night exciting. The ping pong tables saw some intense matches, while others tested their skills at 9 square and corn hole. For those looking to relax, movies provided the perfect chill-out spot in The Iva, and the Photo Booth captured countless memories with friends striking their best poses.

The food spread was another major hit. Students loaded up on delicious pizza, indulged in a tempting cookie buffet, and warmed up with steaming cups of hot chocolate—the perfect treats for a winter celebration.

One of the night's biggest highlights was the JAGcoin Raffles, where over $600 worth of prizes were given away to lucky winners throughout the evening. The excitement in the room each time a name was called was contagious!

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of the Garfield MVPs, Mrs. Nottingham, Mrs. Truce, Mrs. Scirocco, Mr. Coll, and all the parent chaperones who worked tirelessly to make this event a success. Their dedication to creating memorable experiences for our students truly shines through.

The 2025 Winter Social was a night to remember, filled with laughter, good food, great music, and the kind of memories that make middle school special. Here's to many more celebrations ahead! It was a great night to be a G-Man!

Go G-Men!
