The first-ever Snowball Showdown brought high-energy competition to the Middle School Winter Celebration on Friday, December 19th, as 25 teams battled it out in an intense double elimination coed dodgeball tournament that had the entire crowd on their feet.

With over 100 students participating in 44 action-packed games throughout the day, the tournament perfectly showcased our District's core values of teamwork and perseverance. Teams worked together, strategized on the fly, and encouraged each other through wins and losses, demonstrating the true spirit of sportsmanship.

The championship game delivered a moment that will be talked about for years to come. The Spinsters found themselves down to their last player, 8th grader Gage Barnard., facing what seemed like impossible odds—a 1 on 4 disadvantage against their opponents. But Jimmy refused to give up. With incredible focus and skill, he eliminated his opponents one by one, pulling off a legendary comeback to capture the victory for his team. The crowd erupted as the final opponent was eliminated, celebrating one of the most dramatic finishes in dodgeball history.

But The Spinsters' day wasn't over yet! Fresh off their championship win, they took on The Lab Rats in an epic final showdown. The two powerhouse teams split the games, each claiming a victory and proving that both students and teachers have serious dodgeball skills.

The 1st Annual Snowball Showdown was an unforgettable addition to our Winter Celebration, filled with exciting plays, amazing comebacks, and memories that will last long after the final dodgeball was thrown. We can't wait to see what next year's tournament brings! It was a great day to be a G-Man!

Go G-Men!
