Go G-Men!

Our 7th grade students recently traveled to the Akron Zoo for a fun-filled day of learning, exploration, and unforgettable memories. With perfect weather throughout the trip, students enjoyed spending the day alongside classmates, staff members, and family chaperones while exploring all the zoo had to offer.

Throughout the day, student groups participated in a scavenger hunt created by our 7th grade team that connected directly to concepts students are currently learning in both science and ELA classes. The activity encouraged teamwork, observation, and real-world learning as students explored exhibits and interacted with animals from around the world.

In addition to the educational activities, students had opportunities to participate in several JAGcoin raffles throughout the trip, including chances to win Goat Crackers, Carousel Rides, and a French Fry Party at the pavilions. Students especially enjoyed feeding the goats, racing down the Otter Slide, seeing the wide variety of animals, and simply spending time together outdoors on a beautiful spring day.

A special thank you goes out to the Middle School MVP Program for helping provide funding for the trip and to all of the parent chaperones who took time out of their day to join us and help make the experience such a success. Trips like these help create meaningful memories while bringing classroom learning to life. It was a great day to be a G-Man!
