COVID Update

As we have done all year, we continue to monitor our local data.  This includes Portage County alert status, case numbers and positivity rates.  We also look at local numbers in the district’s zip codes.  Finally, and often most importantly, we look at the number of students and staff who are positive or quarantined.  All of this data can be found on our website and is updated daily. Once we collect all this data we make a call to the Portage County Health Department and speak directly with the health commissioner about the trends they are seeing and discuss what they feel is the safest path to move forward.

Based on our data and in consultation with the Portage County Health Commissioner, we will remain in our hybrid model for the next two weeks.  We will continue to monitor our numbers and consult with the health officials. We will make a determination again in two weeks and you can expect another announcement on Thursday, January 28th.

It remains very important to do all that you can to continue to be vigilant.  Continue to exercise caution by wearing a mask when around others, keep 6’ distance, wash your hands and limit your interactions with others to slow the spread in our community.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly. Have a great rest of your week, and Go G-Men!
