Yesterday the Ohio Department of Health announced detailed guidance on spectators at athletic events. I wanted to share with you our plan for spectators.
We have thoroughly examined each of our athletic facilities to determine capacity and safety measures.
We will allow two (2) tickets per athlete, band member and cheerleader at each contest. As required by the State, tickets will be limited to family members, household members and loved ones of each player, cheerleader or band member.
All tickets will be sold online and the link for this store will be shared on Tuesday. No tickets will be sold at the gate.
All spectators will be required to:
Have temperature taken prior to entry. Temps above 100˚F will not be permitted to enter.
Adhere to social distancing by sitting or standing in designated areas.
Concession stands will not be open for any athletic contests this fall.
It is important to know that failure to follow these guidelines may result in a forfeit of the game and a $750 fine for the District. Individuals not following guidelines may be asked to leave. We appreciate in advance your willingness to work with us to ensure our students are able to participate in the activities they love.
For G-Men fans unable to attend, a streaming service will be available for most high school events. Streaming services will cost $10 per device so they can be viewed by many individuals at one time. Links to each game will be shared on the District website.
We are excited that our students have this opportunity to represent our schools and put their best efforts on display. They have worked very hard, and we are all proud of them. We also know the current situation is different than what we are accustomed to. We are doing our best to allow our kids to participate and their families to support them. Thank you for your flexibility and support as we navigate fall athletics.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly. Have a great day, and Go G-Men!
